Product Overview

To solve various height and uneven surface installation challenges, Essex Electronics has designed the Stainless Steel BackBox. This "ADA Sensitive" mounting accessory is ideal for any Essex 12 Pad 3×4 Keypad, Hand-E-Tap® Switch or single gang PEB Series. For Keypad Installations: The Stainless Steel BackBox tilts the Keypad upward at a 15° angle to make it visible to any user even when the Keypad is mounted at "wheelchair height." The BackBox can also be used to simplify Keypad installation on uneven surfaces such as stone or brick. A conduit knock out on the bottom provides a solution for surface mount installations such as marble. For Exit Button Installations: The Stainless Steel BackBox can be used to mount an Essex Piezoelectric Switch to an uneven surface or to areas where a single gang switch box is not available. Tilts the keypad upward to make it visible to any user, even when the keypad is mounted at "wheelchair height."
