Product Overview

The Instant On AP17 outdoor access point allows you to extend WiFi to your outdoor locations. Ideal for outdoor cafes, poolside, car dealership outdoor lots, or open-air restaurants. Mix and match with other Instant On access points for your inside areas. Industry-leading 2-Year warranty and no extra licensing fees. Mounting; Instant On AP17 provides best coverage when mounted on a wall or high on a pole. Unit ships with a wall mount bracket.

Main Features

  • Easy set up and management; get setup and running in minutes with the Instant On mobile app or web portal management system. The cloud-hosted web interface and mobile app make it easy to manage multiple Instant On access points deployed in your facility, keeping network access logins and security settings consistent.
  • Powering; given its outdoor location, it is recommended to use Power over Ethernet (PoE) 802.1af Class 2 to power the Instant On AP17; this model (R2X10A) provides only the unit, no power source included; separately you must provide Power over Ethernet from a PoE switch or a PoE injector.
  • Performance; specified hardware for 867 Mbps on 5 GHz (.11ac); 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz (.11n); total 1167 Mbps throughput; unit has one gigabit 100/1000 uplink connection; recommended for 50 active devices
  • Smart mesh Wi-Fi support; set a Wi-Fi network indoors or outdoors with the Instant On mobile app to extend your Wi-Fi coverage where ethernet cables are not available
  • HPE Networking Instant On 2-Year warranty includes 24/7 phone support for the first 90 days and unlimited chat support and community support for the remainder of the warranty
